Supporting Safe Early Learning Environments: Safe Site Trainings

First 5 Santa Clara County is offering a series of Safe Site Trainings designed to support early learning and care providers in creating safe, prepared environments for children and families.

These one-hour sessions are tailored for family child care educators, as well as family, friend, and neighbor providers. Participants will gain a better understanding of their rights and learn practical steps to take if immigration enforcement activity occurs. The training also includes helpful guidance for those operating child care in their homes, including renters and tenants.

These sessions are designed to be informative, supportive, and accessible, helping providers feel more confident and prepared in their roles.

  • Thursday, March 26 | 12:00–1:00 p.m. (Virtual)
    For Family, Friend & Neighbor Providers and Family Child Care Educators

  • Friday, March 27 | 6:30–7:30 p.m. (In-Person at First 5 Offices)
    For Family Child Care Educators

  • Monday, March 30 | 6:30–7:30 p.m. (Virtual)
    For Family Child Care Educators

Providers are encouraged to attend the session that best fits their schedule and setting.
